Archive for July, 2010

Sunday was a long and wacky day.

Wrapping up prep for this weekend’s pre-Burning Man artisan’s faire in SFO.  Sara Rose, Ernesto, and Amber were by the shop last night to give us a critique and today Sara Rose brought over some mannequins!
Yeoww, they are from Victoria’s Secret – it is wild to see our wares on a fantasy body type – thanks Rosy!

It is about 5 degrees warmer in the shop than outside, but we have lots of fans, and it is tolerable.  We are still on a push to make goods for ‘Prepare for the Playa‘.
New skirts, shorts, kilts, belts and pouches rolling off of the line.  Hard to focus, but we are amped.

An Experienced Shirt

On a sewing push making clothes for ‘Prepare for the Playa’ – here is a shirt that is coming together out of scrapage from other ongoing projects.
It’s a heavy railroad shirt I wore non-stop for a decade, except for the winter that Jessica Rios commandeered it and wore it non-stop.
It built a house in the winter in the mountains, and slept in a lot of dirt.
